As 2025 comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the incredible year we’ve had — and to say thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey.
We’re deeply honoured to share that we’ve been selected as the Winner of the Canadian Choice Award for Best Car Repair Shop in Toronto! This recognition means the world to us, and we couldn’t have achieved it without the continued trust and support of our amazing customers.
Your confidence in us to keep your vehicles safe, reliable, and ready for the road is what drives everything we do. And as a fun bonus, we’ve had the joy of meeting so many of your four-legged co-pilots along the way. We’ll admit it: our days are always brighter when we get a friendly wag, a happy tail, or a quick cuddle from one of our visiting pups and yes, we always have treats on hand for them! 🐾
One Year In: Reflecting on Our Journey
It’s hard to believe it’s been just over a year since we first opened our doors as My Neighbourhood Mechanic. From day one, our vision has been simple to provide expert automotive care with honesty, transparency, and heart.
We wanted to create more than just a repair shop. We wanted a space where people feel comfortable asking questions, learning about their vehicles, and knowing they’re in good hands. Every oil change, inspection, and repair is done with the same care and attention we’d give our own family.
Over this first year, we’ve grown not only as a business but as part of a wonderful, caring community. That sense of connection and purpose inspires us every single day.
Giving Back to the Community That Gives So Much
Supporting local causes has always been at the core of who we are. This year, we continued our commitment to organizations that make a difference close to home including the Parkdale Food Bank, Aangen, local schools, The Redwood Women’s Shelter, and several local dog rescues.
These partnerships remind us that even small contributions can have a big impact. Whether it’s helping a neighbour get back on the road or ensuring families have food on the table, we’re proud to lend a hand wherever we can.
Join Our 2025 Holiday Giving Drive 🎁
This holiday season, Rui and the team are collecting donations to help make the holidays a little brighter for families and pets in our community.
We’re gathering:
🛒 Non-perishable food items for the Parkdale Food Bank
🐶 Pet food for our furry friends
🧸 New, unwrapped toys for the West End Toy Drive
We’re inviting our community to join us in this initiative! You can drop off donations at our shop until December 18th. Every can, bag, and toy helps bring a smile to someone in need and together, we can make a meaningful difference.

As we wrap up another amazing year, we’re filled with gratitude for our customers, our team, and this wonderful neighbourhood we get to call home.
